How cool is this?!!! When I came across this little beauty on Amazon, I just HAD to tell you about it.
Its a 2GB USB flash drive shaped like a hot dog. It’s even got mustard on it. Why carry around a dull and boring flash drive? If you’re a true hot dogger, this is a must have!
Put all your hot dog biz stuff on this drive for safe keeping such as your menu, biz card, and flier files, as well as your catering contracts, inventory spreadsheets, etc.

Did anyone work the 4th?
We did a local event in our city, We had a BLAST!!! We moved about 450 dogs. We ran specials like:
Hot Dog /Chips/ Drink $5.00
Polish /Chips /Drink $6.00
We also went to local companies who donated prizes for a drawing. Buy a dog and get a ticket into the drawing for a prize package valued over $500. This worked really well. About an hour before the fireworks we did the drawing, at that time I really surprised my staff by announcing a $1.00 off all combos. They got swamped. (hehehehe) After the show when the crowd was dashing for their cars I had to make one last ditch effort “Hot Dog $1.00” My staff thought I was nuts. I said “Do you want to load it back on the truck”? They started to YELL ” EVERY things a BUCK”. We made about 20 more sales. All in all it was a great experience for us. TIP: Bring a lot of extra $1.00 and $5.00 we came close to running out. At the end of the day we still have a lot of product left over, but the good news is it’s paid for and it will not spoil so were stocked up for a few weeks. No big deal.

I worked the 4th and it was a bust the weather was the big factor, I hope, my daily lunch trade is growing nicely, so my hopes are still up for this location. Our small college town won’t really start picking up till the end of August with students, hopefully i will have this thing running smoothly by then.

Thanks for the feed back, Don’t worry about the weather, Sunny days are just around the corner for you. I’m in the Seattle area and we get our share of crappy weather. The good news, people still eat when it rains. I would make a sign that you can put out when it rains that reads-
“I’m Wet and Cold but I’m still here for you, Hot Dogs $3” or a picture of a happy dog “Puddles loves the rain, Hot Dogs $3”
You get the idea. Sounds like your in a great area! A college town, that’s great, I know a few guys in the dog business that have put 2 or 3 of their own kids threw college selling dogs. Plus if you hit the night crowd when all these kids start hitting the bars ohhhh my, stand by. Your going to do great….
